“…Owen’s company, Bitar Construction, demonstrated the values that we wished all contractors strived to attain, but more often fail to accomplish. Owen is a perfectionist.  He is a fanatic about building square, plumb, straight and level.  For example, I know of no one that attaches a series of hand winches to pull support poles and framing into alignment and square within 1/8” tolerance.  Who does that?  I watched him remove an installed metal roof ridge cap, because looking at the building from up the hill, the cap didn’t look straight enough.  He reinstalled the ridge cap perfectly straight.  This attention to detail resulted in high quality in both of our buildings. Owen and his employees were always courteous in all my dealings with them.  Owen let me know whenever his employees would be on my property, and without exception, they showed up when the said they would.  

One day when snow shut down roads, they showed up and worked a full day.  If his crew planned to show up earlier than usual in the morning, Owen would call me the evening before and ask permission. They kept the work site clean and in orderly condition…“
